JACKSON, Amador County — The City of Jackson has opened registration for its third annual residential and commercial Christmas lights competition and set a deadline in November.
The official city website posted an October 22 announcement inviting residents and businesses to enter the Great Christmas Light Show. The deadline for registrations is Friday, November 20, 2026, at midnight.
Two entry categories
The city links to separate registration forms for residential and commercial entrants. Applicants should read the current form for eligibility, judging criteria, property rules and any consent requirements rather than rely on information from earlier years.
People wishing to visit displays should wait for the city to announce participating locations or an authorized route. The contest announcement does not mean every decorated private property has agreed to welcome visitors.
Who can answer questions?
Jackson City Hall lists 33 Broadway, Jackson, CA 95642, with telephone 209-223-1646. The city also links to its Christmas in Jackson events page for related information.
This is an announced registration opportunity, not a report that winners have been selected.
